Need a new gaming keyboard

Hi

I think i will get a new keyboard for gaming as my football bet came up today so i have a bit extra this week, so what would you recommend for around the £50 mark?

At the moment i just have a standard Logitech £9.99 job and a Wolfking Warrior that i usually use with my laptop(i do like it) but i've never really had a decent gaming keyboard, or any decent keyboard tbh so i'm not sure what to look for or what a good deal is. Is it even worth getting one? (i could just get Dead Island instead)

What do you want out of a keyboard?

Well this is the thing really. I am quite happy with a simple no fuss board for everyday stuff and then i have the Wolfking Warrior that i usually use for gaming, but i suppose i just really assume that a "proper" gaming keyboard will be a good upgrade, maybe not but i am considering it.

This is what i use atm, it is very handy for my laptop as well.

I'd be really happy with that for gaming!

I bought it for my laptop, as i use it a fair bit for oldish games but where your left hand would be gets very hot so i needed something seperate. It is very handy, especially for using from the sofa as well, but now i do most of my gaming on my monitor, not my TV so i am at the desk nearly all the time.

I don't play MMO's so i suppose i don't really need a fancy keyboard. I would like to get a proper keyboard though, as the gaming keypads are alright casually but i don't really want to use it all the time tbh.

I think i like the look of the Sidewinder X4. I take it the X4 is considered superior to the X6 seeing as no one has mentioned it?

I have an X4 which I'm really pleased with - it's a nice fullsize keyboard which is great for "proper" typing as well as having programmable keys for macros etc.

When I was looking at which keyboard to buy I posted a similar question to you on the forum - and (as far as I can remember) the consensus was that the X6's key layout wasn't as good as the X4 and the detatchable keypad was more of a hinderance than a help.

Gonna order tomorrow and i'm almost certainly going to go for the Sidewinder X4 unless i can maybe find a knocked down G510, anyone used them as i have read some good reviews?
Will be almost twice the price of a sidewinder though, so i'm not sure yet.
