Need a new i7 board!

I have an Asus P6T6WS Revo and its fine, as above think you just have a bad board and need to rma.... get a boorked board from Biostar or Gigabyte (one with troublesome but not catastrophic problems) and im sure you will find there support about the same...... + Asus boards tend to push some of the highest BLCK's making them great for overclocking.... (lots of reviews with Gigabyte boards struggling to reach a stable 200 blck) also higher end Asus boards (like mine :)) allow 21X multi (edit sorry did not realise Gigabyte boards could do the same...)

Mate, all Gigabyte X58 boards allow 21x multi...

And what on earth do you mean Gigabyte boards struggle to reach 200 QPI??

I assume you mean 200MHz Bclk?

This is utter nonsence, the UD5 has a Bclk wall of 222Mhz, I can do 200 Bclk perfectly on both of my UD5's without any issues, and pretty much everyone on XS in the UD5/Extreme Discussion thread are hitting 222 without any issues at all, the only thing that is preventing me going higher is temps, once I get my chip under water I will be able to push higher..

There are even some guys who are hitting 235+ Bclk under LN2 with the UD5's with the PCIe hardmod...

You should get your facts straight before posting garbage like this..

+1 to the evga sli le ive just ordered one heard nothing but good things about it and its cheap also support 3 way sli + physx cant wait to get my D0 on it with a heatkiller 3.0 :D

I'm tempted to get an EVGA, my 680i board has been the most stable board I have ever owned, 2 1/2 years on and still working perfectly, never had an issue with it.

I had the asus p6t deluxe v1, changed to the Gigabyte ud5 for tri sli, very satisfied with this mobo, It seems that most x58 boards are very strong.

Yep it works with other keyboard, but it used to work fine with the G15... BIOS 12xx onwards it is broken.

So it works completely fine with other keyboards ?
There are two versions of the G15 i think. Maybe one of them is incompatible with the later bios versions.

For thos e of you who have a working combination, which revision of the G15 are you running, so the OP can work out the problem?

+ 1 Biostar T-Power X58

+2 Biostar Tpower X58, 4.2 HT here ;)

+3 :p

My first Biostar board this, and its a cracker, has 3x PCI-E 2.0 slots (16x/16x/4x)

What is the warranty with the board and have any of you had experience with the technical support ?

Never heard of Biostar before and there doesn't appear to be an official forum etc ?

Not sure to get this over the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R.

Also, what cpu cooler are you guys using. Considering getting the Zalman CNPS9500A-LED as it's price has been slashed but i'm not sure if it's compatible with the board.

If you buy the Zalman LGA1366 mounting bracket this HSF will fit any X58 mobo..

I used to run the 9700NT on my X58 UD5, and it managed to keep my chip cool enough right up to 3.8GHz, so it wasn't a bad cooler tbh, the 9500 should be good enough for 3.4GHz I would imagine.

but the noise? installed mine in my i7 920 at default and it was screaming like hell with enabled smartfan in bios (X58 UD3R)
