Using a G15 v2 at the moment but it keeps cutting out now and then and its driving me crazy it just switches itself off and then back on.

What im looking at are the following and im looking for recommendations and options please, I am also after full size gaming keyboard / illuminated if possible (not red leds):

For a few reasons I have discounted the Filco / Razer and Ducky keyboards as I can not find the right one of them with the right key switch if i do go mechanical ect.

CM Storm QuickFire Pro RED Switch Mechanical Keyboard
CM Storm Trigger Mechanical Keyboard
Corsair Vengeance K90 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Gigabyte Osmium Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Steelseries 7G Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

Im sure ive missed some off ive been looking also it doesnt need to be mechanical just need a decent gaming keyboard please. O before I forget the only Cherry switches I would look at are Red or Black thanks.

No this is the correct section... Why would you post about a keyboard spec in Gaming...

I would suggest the Sidewinder X4 because that's all I have experience in and I don't know anything about mechanical keyboards :(
 
Well just go for the cheapest with the switch type you want. The switches, which are the important part, are all the same. Avoid the Corsair ones as they do not have a full mechanical layout.

If you do not want the macro keys or back lighting, just go for the CM or the Steelseries 6GV2, unless you want an inbuilt wrist-rest which personally I think are a waste of time. Just get a nice gel wrist-rest separately.
 
Isnt it just the G keys that are none mechanical? I would prefer back lighting but not red fed up of the red well more orange on my G15.

Yes I would need a wrist rest. Gahhhhhhhhhh dam keyboard just cut out again dan thing is annoying.

If you're refering to the K90 then it's the G-keys, function keys, media keys and the keys above the arrow keys (not sure if they have a specific name). So basically, the arrow keys and all of the letter/ctrl/shft/tilde etc. are Cherry Red's.

Sidewinder x4 Microsoft, but that has red lights although you have 3 levels of brightness to choose. lovely keyboard
 
Have just upgraded from a Logitech G510 to a Corsair Vengeance K90 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, haven't had a chance to use it in anger fully, but so far the build quality and the key response has been good there is a clear difference between the feel of the two.
 
Still getting used to the different feel between the two but so far it does feel better, best way I can describe it is the keys seem to bounce back quicker where as the membrain on the G510 feels sluggish in comparison, don't get me wrong the G510 is a nice keyboard and didn't really need to be upgraded but saw the K90 on offer (impulse buying gotta love it :P).

I mainly went for the K90 for the macro switches as I used them on the G510 with the mmo's I play, but any of the other mechanical keyboards should have the same crispness.
 
Im leaning towards the K90 or the SteelSeries 6G v2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard ( and get a Filco wrist rest to go with the 6G).

But thinking about it I would be paying more for the 6G and the wrist rest than the K90 how is the K90 wrist rest?

This is doing my head in 6 times already the G15 has gone off this morning.
