Hello,
I bought an S7 Edge from Argos back in october and this week the phone decided to turn off and sit there with a blue solid light and wouldnt start/respond.
After several hours and making sure it was charged (63% it had) i managed to get it to start kind of, the phone would go so far and freeze up again.
Once i got it started up i reset the phone to factory settings.
The phone then worked but felt slow and sluggish even after the full reset, yesterday another upodate weas released and the phone took ages to respond when installing the update and same problems all over again. When the phone was starting up the display was all garbled as if the gpu was failing.
So today i have taken the phone back to argos and left it on the counter witrh a copy of the receipt (dont ask bought in October 2016) called argos card services and cancelled the account.
Now, im sick of spending what i call silly/a lot of monies on a phone. I want to spend no more then £200 but want decent specs and something reliable. Its the first samsung phone ive owned (sony erikson/htc before) and its the first phone that has died within a 2 year period.
I use the camera on the phone and whats app/messenger. Normal phone calls and txts.
Also for authenticator for games and online accounts.
I have a 3 uk sim only contract with a micro sim (4 gb data, unlimited txts, unlimited calls) so just a phone required.
I did consider trying a windows phone but not sure i should?
im used to Android but will try any os, but not blackberry.
ive seen some recommendations but need a more personalised advice for what is best for me please.
