Hi all,

Basically what it says in the topic . It doesn't have to be wireless (excuse me if this is a really noobish question but do all wireless routers come with ethernet ports on them as well? Or does it have to specify '4 port switch'?), just looking for a reasonably priced good un - say about 50 - 60 quid.

Thinking of the Linksys WAG354G. Any opinion on this? Any others you would recommend?

If it could be ADSL2+ compatible that would be a bonus, although not a requirement (is the lynksys one above compatible?)

Stay away from the Belkin - their stuff is utter crud.

From my experience i have found out that belkin are semi-easy to set up. but i remember having to do a lot of setting changes to get onto sites like ebay..... That was on a AOL account so im not sure if its the same with other isp's

No home routers that I've seen are exactly hard to setup - whack in the username and password, check the VPI/VCI settings and away you go.

With AOL you would have needed to change the MTU, that isn't something specific to Belkin rubbish, that's AOL. Other ISP's shouldn't need to changing.

no it wasnt that i forget i had to change a setting to allow me into them sites.

**EDIT** and im 90% sure it wasnt the MTU ;)

I use the BT Voyager 2100 and its really good IMO, but its about £80 although, it has a built in modem. Otherwise i recommend the Linksys routers.
