Need a Quad core cpu!

Hi guys i have a MSI P6N SLI Platinum motherboard and at the moment i have a Core 2 Duo Conroe 2.4ghz.

Now i dont know Jack about all this. Please could someone link me to a quad core processor that would work in this motherboard.

Looking at the cpu support list you ca use the Q6600, Q6700 & the extreme versions.

Getcarter, I'm not sure ALL of those CPUs listed in my first link will work, but the one RJC lited Quad 6700 Not on a Yorkfield then....?

Depends on what you need it for? Though most likely Q6700 will be more than enough with an overclock.
