All going in my lian li case along with a couple of extra drives I have here for storage and 2 optical drives.
The price is about my budget, so just making sure its all ok.

Have you thought about changing the RAM to the cheaper Geil Value 800Mhz DDR2? You wont notice any performance differences but you will knock a huge chunk off the price.

Also in regards to a motherboard, will a cheaper 965 or 650 based board not be better for you?

Yeah Gutted that gainward 8T8 is that price, I brought the Leadtek. Oh well no regrets. Very nice spec, make sure you post some build piccys.

That 8800GTS is well cheap, only £100 less than a X1950 Pro! bargain... spec looks good to me.

stick with Windows XP 32bit if you like playing games, hold off the Vista.

you could get 2 barracudas and RAID

that PSU will be tight in wattage if you tend to overclock and use USB devices. the 630 will give you more headroom.

don't know about that board, no experience of that one but Abit are very good quality.

Changed a couple of things, including the psu.
Will also be sticking the 32bit version on for a couple of months then changing over once the general support gets a bit better

I just hope that cooler fits in my case!

Why stick with 32 bit xp? is it faster in games or is that just for dx 9?

Faster in games at the moment, partly down to the very poor support for drivers with Vista

Some users are reporting a 10-15% decrease in performance behind XP.
