looking to replace athlon x2 set-up with a phenom II AM3 socket quad set-up with 4gig DDR3 and good overclocking mobo.

What can you guys offer to me, with buget of around £400

p.s if possible mobo with parrell port as printer that i cam using only has this connection, if not i can get a converter from USB.

Any reason (aside from the extra core) you want the am3 quad over the AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition ?, if not i'd go for the tri core.

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 810 2.6GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail £156.39 (£135.99)

Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £120.74 (£104.99)

Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 10666C9 1333MHz TwinX Dual Channel Kit (2x2GB) (TW3X4G1333C9) £54.04 (£46.99)

Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM3/LGA775) £28.74 (£24.99)

Sub Total : £312.96
Shipping : £9.50
VAT : £48.37
Total : £370.83

braggin rights over a m8 with 1st gen quad phenom & to extend PC life cycle is reasoning for quad over triple.
never used gigabyte kit, what's it like?
thanks mp260767 parts there are looking good. honestly didn't think i'd gt corsair ram in that buget, as i spent around £150 for 2GB of that on DDR2!

if its quad core have you thought about going for the am2+ black edition, bit dearer and maybe slightly over budget but might be better for overclocking.

my last 2 motherboards have been gigabyte and i've had no issues with them, latest one is running an old e6300 at 3.5ghz.
