Noob request!

I think i need a new PSU.

Over the last few months my PC has been what I thought was crashing and rebooting itself but I now believe its more so shutting itself off. I've slowly stripped back my hardware (taken out RAM and extra graphics card) as I've taken each bit out my PC has become more stable.

I don't think the hardware I have left inside is faulty as if it were it'd still crash at the same rate or continuing to get worse. Neither is it pieces I've taken out as it's still crashing but less frequency, so it's a power supply problem - that's my logic anyway .. Is this a power issue?

If so what would be a good replacement?

Current (suspected problematic) PSU is: Corsair TX650W

Spec of PC (that I know);

1 HDD
Dual ATI Radeon HD 4800 series (which run really hot, which i thought was the problem at first, but nope)
1 DVD writer
Motherboard of some kind...
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual core 6000+

Thanks.

650W seems overkill, but that won't do anything. If you have had it for less than 5 years, it is still under warranty, email Corsair.

Perhaps double checking all cables are securly intact and nothing is torn or worn away and if any fans are blocked by something. If not it may have to be returned i guess.
