Need a scanner up to around £100 ish?

I Need a scanner up to around £100 ish? Any suggestions?
My present scanner an Epson 1640 SU has no software for 64 bit Vista or more importantly Windows 7 which as I now run 7 on even my notebook is inconvenient!

Have you tried the trial version of VueScan?

My 1250 scanner was not recognised by W7 X64, but this little app picked it up just fine, if it work you can then opt to pay for the full version.

I use Vuescan with my Epson Perfection 610 works great, their are no Vista 64bit drivers for my scanner so hence me using Vuescan.

I use a Canon LiDE 90 which has drivers for Vista 64 bit , these work with Windows 7 and it is USB powered so no brick.

Many thanks. Have checked out Vuescan and it works though rather differently to normal drivers - one can save and then use photoshop etc to work on the immage
