Which one would you recommend, I like the 8900/Hero/Magic

Currently have a 9500 Storm and sick of the battery life. On the new v5 OS and the touch screen flick scrolling is very good, whats it like on the magic/hero?

Is android miles ahead of blackberrys?

I use the phone mainly for emails and facebook/wlm etc

I love the look of the white phones from HTC and the android OS but haven't been able to test it.

Not to sure if to go back to a QWERTY ketboard or stick with touchscreen?

Hmmm depends..do you need push email??..if so then nothing beats the Blackberry range of phones...the Storm sadly was a massive letdown although the new Storm2 which is about to be released this month or next fingers crossed is much much better...it should have been what the original storm was.

I have a HTC Magic through Vodafone and its a great phone but after about 2 weeks i was bored of it...its now sat in its box not even being used...i dont know about the Hero but i found the Magic a bit too sluggish especially with the amount of apps you put on it. I have a Blackberry Bold and for about 2 weeks my Bold was not used as much but like i said after 2 weeks i went back to the Bold because all round its a much better phone.

The Magic has a good touchscreen on it...reminds me of the iphone so it was pretty easy to get on with...flick scrolling etc is good...i didnt have any major problems with it. Saying that im selling my Magic at the moment as i have no use for it and im quite bored of it...plus im too much of a blackberry fan at the moment and cant see myself using any other device than the BB...

Hero ive heard good things about...its a nice phone as well.

Obviously for emails and texts i would say a QWERTY keyboard is the best...the 8900 is a great phone too...just lacks 3G...i had one back in May through tmobile and i thought it was great but because i had a Bold i sent it back.

If i was you id try and pop into a vodafone/orange or O2 shop where they have the phones you are interested on display and working and see for yourself.

I think quite a few phones support push e-mail these days, provided you are getting your e-mail from a properly set up IMAP server. My Sony Ericsson C702 does it and it works brilliantly.

Welcome to Android, though the tarted up HTC Sense version :D

Enjoying my Hero so far! markey app is class! Currently only got Facebook and Last.fm, Last.fm app is great, no need for storing music on my phone now, just android scrobbling and listening to my library of over 8000 tracks woo! :D
