if you use any of the above methods just place your bum on the object lift your legs in the air and pull the front of whatever your sitting on up a bit and hold on tight with your hands so it has a nice curve which will help you go fast and stop you sliding off it

Funny isnt it when I was young (early 80's) you could get them everywhere now they are as rare as rocking horse .....
Can you blame stores for not stocking them, given the winter weather record for the last 15 years?
This one kind of snook up on us and took us by surprise.

Wooden sled with steel rails, basically an old toboggan. Goes dangerously fast :s Thats my sled of choice.
but the 2nd best thing is a sheet of lino. Flooring lino goes super quick, just hold the front up and over your legs and your away!

lies they last fine aslong as you dont use them on tarmac and they are faster than the woodern ones.
i remember petrol stations selling them 10 years ago and you only had a week of snow back them if you were lucky
