need a upgrade

my pc is 3 years old and only get 30-50 fps when runing bc2
my spec are qx6850 quad [email protected],8gb ddr2,ati5850.i need more fps so looking for a new pc.
been look at i7 950 with 6gb tri channel or sb i7 1155 with 4gb.
been reading the new i7 1155 is oc more but the i7 950 has tri channel so witch one would give me more fps?

I would upgrade just the graphics card for now and see if that gives you the performance you want. If not then you can upgrade the rest later.

You may be suprised and that just upgrading the graphics card solves the issue.

overclock the cpu you have got first then add a new GC

i did upgrade my gpu to 5850 from 8800gtx and still not that much performance.
not a expert at oc but did oc cpu to 3.3 from 3.0 (but only change the cpu multiplier from 9-10) but yet again not much performance and brought a ssd and still no performance.
i know my pc meets more then the requirements for this game but my fps are crap.
my mate brought a i7 860 with ati 5850 he getting about 130 fps yet in 3dmarks 06 he only get about 1000 more then me.

how do i do that? as faw as i ware off it ok.3d score is good windows index is 7.7 for gpu oc it 7.8
cpu and ram is the lowset at 7.2

use msi afterburner gpuz to check.......also did you do fresh install of windows when you changed from nvidia to ati

60fps crap?

Only time fps is a concern is when it drops below 25 - which it isnt.

I personally do not think you need an upgrade - the performance gains simply will not be worth the <£500 to upgrade. What you need to do is maximise what you have, overclock the CPU to around 3.8GHz, and overclock the gpu.

thanks for advice mate but oc my cpu to 3.8 is out of my league.the most i did is 3.3 by just changing the multiplier from 9-10,any more then that my pc is unstable or windows dont start up,i know i need to change the cpu voltage but their many voltages in my bios,not sure witch one to change or what voltage too as it set at auto.thanks again for your help.
