Hi all, just bought myself a nice Panasonic 42" S30b. Getting into the new flat in Monday, going to wall mount it when we get in, however there's so many out there cheap ones to really expensive.

Should I buy cheapest £10 or middle £30ish or more? What's the difference, should I be worried if I buy a £10 one?

What do you guys have?

I would avoid the el cheapo mount, you wouldn't want that new Panasonic to end up on the floor!!
You will almost certainly get what you pay for in this department,a well made mount being prefered over a lightweight design, however the mount is only as good as the fixing between it and the wall.If the wall is masonry which has been plastered directly onto then drill hole and fit plastic plugs and suitable screws or go for expanding fixings.
If the wall is studwork and plasterboard you MUST make sure the mount is fixed to the studs as elsewhere the wall is just hollow 12mm plasterboard.

unless you know yer fixings, you can get a handyman / joiner that will do it. I live in a new house and know that putting anything on these plasboard walls..is gonna come down..unless it done correctly ( and having the misses telling me..i told you so when i just seen my 3d panny lying in pieces would be upsetting).

£25-£40 should be enough to get you something well made without breaking the bank. That will cover everything from a plain flat mount to tilt and pullout versions.

I just installed a 32" via a £25 tilt and swivel full-works style wall bracket. It feels rock solid. Be wary of pricing - I saw the exact same model for £50 on a well-known department store website.

I would, on the otherhand, be a wary of the screws it comes with - only one of the three it came with survived the screwing process - the other 2 necessitated a trip to my local DIY store to buy some screw extractors. Maybe me bad luck I guess.

Bought a nice low profile mount from an online e-tailer for 1/3 of the price of the high street then bought 8 10mm x 6" for £7 coach bolts and concrete plugs from B&Q to get it on the wall.

Did not trust the small screws it came with and I think with the 8 coach bolts I could hang a small family from the wall.
