Need a Widescreen monitor for Everything - HDTV capable :D

Well, I just got my dell 1905fp but then I saw a Widescreen HDTV in the shops!! so, now im looking to sell my 1905fp and get a 20 inch or above widescreen hdtv or lcd monitor for tv/movies, xbox 360 and pc use.

It needs to support hdtv for like the xbox 360 etc and be good for watching movies and watching tv. I dont really want that twinkling effect as that will spoil the movie :P The viewing angles will need to be good aswell.

I also play games and browse the internet etc so it has to have no ghosting and be clear :D cheers

I have a budget of around £500, would the samsung 26 inch hdtv be good? or should i get like a lcd monitor

Some people are happy using a PC with a HDTV and web browsing. However I would not touch it with a bargepole for a primary PC - the resolution (1366*768) is just to small, I sometimes run firefox on my HTPC and it is far from plesent. However, as my main PC monitor is a FPW 2405 I am a bit spoilt!
 
Err, see your other thread, here; amply answered I thought. :confused:

Go to a store and have a look if you're concerned, but what FrankJH said is true, its dependant on which screen you're looking at.

also, what do you mean its too small, isnt it just like 1280-1024, just a lil bit smaller

First time ever I have been name checked

Salami - Some people just cant deal well with a low resolution on a large monitor , I guess it is a lot like ghosting in that some are more prone to seeing it than others, ie some can use a low resolution like 1280*1024 or 1366*768 and be happy ( I have browsed these very forums on an hdtv and liked it for instance) however others cant be dealing with anything less than the uber res of a 2005 or 2405.

The ONLY way you will know is by trying for yourself. From previous experience I thought the 2405 would make everything too small for my eyes ( I have a peculiar eye problem) so that is why I am more than happy at HDtv res ( or 1680 * 1050 with my 2005)
