I have a 1.8" 64Gb SSD in my broken ThinkPad that I'm trying to get data of. Any idea what sort of adapter I need to connect it to a standard 2.5" SATA connector, like the one in an external HD case.

I've uploaded a picture of the SSD here: http://i56.tinypic.com/2njizjp.jpg

I'm hoping for something cheap off eBay, don't mind if it takes a week or so arriving from China / HK.

Thanks!

If it doesn't accept a regular sized Sata connection (I've got the same drive I think so it probably doesn't) - you'll need a "micro sata" adapter, they cost around £7 from the usual auction place and I'm pretty sure there's some that deliver from the UK now.

As above a micro SATA adapter is probably what you need however you'll need to make sure it's 3.3V capable and that you connect it to a 3.3v supply in the host PC. Watch out because most PC SATA power connectors are 12V & 5V only.

I've been running this microsata SSD off of a normal sata connection for months, it's in a cheapy netbook and that's only putting out 12v and 5v to the adapter - the adapter itself has hardware inside to lower it to 3.3.v, which is why it's fairly huge considering what it does.
