Hi,

My motherboard is the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master PCIe 4.0 (not sure if it's the 1.0 or revised 1.1/1.2 model). Bought it in 2019.

My secondary drive is only 1TB, which is inadequate for the disk space heavy modern games + mods.
I'm totally out of the loop with regards to what to get, but I'm thinking a 4TB might be the best option.

My OS is on an NVME drive, so I'm assuming that it would be best to drop in another NVME drive on one of the spare ports (my OS drive sits in the middle port).

@aaronyuri Yes, that makes sense since my intention for this drive is to primarily use it for game files,
so a decent read speed should suffice.

That said, I wouldn't mind bumping up my OS drive to something beefier and faster as well - maybe a 1 - 2TB model.
It's only a 512GB Sabrent Rocket, though I can't recall the exact model off the top of my head.

@Jim99 You're most likely right there; a balance of VFM and speed/capacity would seem the way to go.

@Minstadave Thanks for the suggestion, but for the life of me I don't seem to be able to find it on OcUK.
I can see the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB for £189.95; is that the one you were referring to?

I managed to order it, though for a higher price than hoped.
Everywhere seemed to be either out of stock or 'in stock' that is, until you went to checkout and then found out it wasn't. :/
Anyway, I think it's still decent value compared to some other 4TB drives. Quite happy. Cheers. :)

Might pick up a new OS drive, though I've virtually no experience in copying/cloning one OS drive to another,
so I might have to watch some guides on that.
 
Added in the 4TB Samsung 990 Evo, very nice, though I was surprised by just how much you lose from the advertised capacity.
I knew it wouldn't be a full useable 4TB, but without adding anything on to it yet, I see there is 'only' around 3.6 - 7 TB available.
