An RX 480 or GTX 1060 would probably be the best bet with the FX-8320. Anything higher than that would probably give you bottlenecks, as the cpu wouldn't be able to keep up.
You could go for a GTX 1070 but you probably wouldn't get the full benefit. Even an i5 can have some bottlenecks with a GTX 1070 at 1080p in certain games.
Also if you are adding an SSD then I would look at doing a clean install of Windows, as you want that as your boot/gaming drive. So a Samsung Evo 250GB for example should have Windows on it and then install the games on it as well. Just use the HDD for mass storage of large files.
Just download all the drivers beforehand on to a USB stick for the motherboard from gigabyte website, and also the graphics card driver from the manufacturers website or Nvidia (GTX 1060)/AMD (RX 480) depending on what you go for.
I would suggest either the Sapphire RX 480 Nitro if you want another AMD card (It is pre-order) or a Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windforce for Nvidia.
The SuperFlower Leadex is the better psu in the list so long as you don't mind the 'LED' connectors. If you don't want light up connectors then the XFX XTR is still a very good unit.
The Samsung 750 EVO is a good SSD. The 850 EVO is a bit faster if you want to pay the extra. You probably won't notice much difference though.
My basket at Overclockers UK:
- 1 x Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro+ 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express RGB Graphics Card= £249.95
- 1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 WindForce OC 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card= £259.99
- 1 x XFX XTR Series 550W 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply= £77.99
- 1 x Super Flower Leadex GOLD 550W Fully Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply - Black= £79.99
- 1 x Samsung 250GB 750 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps Solid State Drive= £68.99
Total: £736.91
(includes shipping: £0.00)
So you are probably looking at a bit over £400. and if the worst comes to worst and you are still having issues, then you still have cash left to switch to Intel.
Thank you for the info would you suggest a new motherboard had it a while
