Hi I'm planning on building my first computer soon. This build will mainly be for gaming and watching videos/movies/anime.

Currently I am planning on getting:
GPU: Sapphire HD 7970 VAPOR-X GHZ 3072MB
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX 750W Modular
MOBO: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Series Or: Asus Z87-A Intel Z87
CASE: Cooler Master CM-690 II Lite Dominator
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 2x4GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

This build is gonna have to last me at least 3-4 years so I'm guessing overclocking my GPU and CPU is a must. I'm not planning on overclocking anytime soon so I'll buy aftermarket cooler when I have to just to save some money.

Thank you :)

Hi Servan,

Defiitely get rid of the Green WD HDD and go with this Seagate.

It has a faster spin speed and is more suitable for games and applications whereas the green drive is more for Mass storage not to mention the Seagate is cheaper aswell. Also consider this Motherboard and Free Aftermarket cooler! I am personally getting this tomorrow as i intend to be Overclocking to 4.2-4.4 ghz and this board can achieve those speeds fine.

Yep looks like a good build and I agree with Shaw's suggestions above, otherwise all looking nice. :) no reason that build shouldn't last you a few years.

I'll definitely get that HDD. I think the ASUS mobo is the best out of the 3 mobos and I think I can get a better cooler in a couple years when I OC anyway.
