Hi guys been trying to design my first PC but would appreciate some advice on the parts.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: GTX 1060 3GB
Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk max ATX
Memory: T force Vulcan 2x8GB
PSU: Seasonic focus gold

I would appreciate it if any PC veterans could tell me if I can save some money by going for something different or if the price weighting is wrong.
I will probably be using this PC for gaming but I could also use it for some light simulations. I am looking for a PC that I could upgrade over time but if possible has a bit of overclocking potential.
Looking at about £800 in total including windows and a monitor
Thanks so much for your help!

I'm coming from a 13" at about 128ppi so literally anything but I was thinking something like the Asus VS228T-P 21.5" one but I am open to suggestions.

Personally I'd go second hand on a few components, you'll get a pretty strong build that way... What I was trying to do is spec a build but leave £150 for a decent monitor... You can get Windows for a small price, you download the creation tool from Microsoft then buy a cheap key from some sites...

Something I'd consider is the below parts second hand, they'll be a lot cheaper than buying new still

Ryzen 2600
B450 Motherboard
16gb DDR4 3200mhz

Although the 2600 is last gen ryzen it still has plenty of power to game with, I have one in my system.. RAM prices have gone up since I last checked so maybe looking second hand at some 16gb kits, speeds at 3000mhz or more are best for Ryzen..

As for storage, if gaming then go for SSD as its load times are much quicker than HDD and the SSD will be more reliable as it has no moving parts inside..

A 550w power supply will be more than enough for your system, a few decent ones I know of are Superflower, Bitfenix Formula or Seasonic Core.

I know you've listed a few of these components but that's a good thing, shows your on the right track :)

Atleast if you look second hand you'll have more cash left over for a powerful GPU, if your going 1060 then consider 6gb as you'll have more VRAM and more power, games are getting more demanding these days so the more power you have will be better.

Second hand GPU prices can be pretty decent at times... I've seen a few RX580 8gb for around £100  BARGAIN
