Need advice getting kicked out

They don't they will help if they can however.

Wrong. The Housing Act (England) gives councils a legal responsibility towards homeless people. I should know, I've been there. Not actually on the streets, but legally homeless nonetheless. (Source.)

OP, while it would have been helpful in a sense, I don't care how this came about. It's late now, probably too late, but I hope you got something sorted for the night, be it begging your mum to come to a short-term arrangement or presenting as homeless to the local council.

Update us if/when you can, and good luck mate. Keep your chin up, take every opportunity to help yourself, and keep pushing the council/SA/etc. All the best. :)

I dont understand why you need all the personal details of somone that asked a simple question..

It is absoloutley for your own pleasure and amusement and to put it in modern terms "troll him"

If somone is lying bleeding to death, you try and stop the bleeding you dont start quizzing them about how they did it.

If a tramp asks you for a quid you dont start questioning him why he is homeless, how does he afford to feed his dog... Maybe you do?

If a stunning blonde comes over and starts rubbing herself all over you, you dont ask her where are the hidden cameras are do you ? :O

Because it IS a forum and we're on here primarily to get some entertainment(In GD at least), if every post was boring would anyone be here, seriously? No.

As for the rest, yes, if someone was lying bleeding to death I'd both help AND ask what happened, you'll find doctors will find out what happened before the helping part aswell.

If a tramp asks me for a quid, yes, I'd ask him why, do I want to give a druggie who got into it himself a quid over a guy from an abusive family who ran away, hell no. Why should I randomly be required to fork over a quid without knowing who I'm giving it too.

IF a stunning blonde comes over and starts rubbing herself over me, I ask how old she is, and if she's ever had a ****, assuming the right responses, no more questions are required ;)

Thinks back to the guys who recently got jail time because some girls told them they were 16 and they didn't ask any more questions when it was put on a plate, yeah, you'd be pretty dumb to ask NO questions in this day and age.

Most of the time questions can be answered yourself, blonde in person, can probably tell if she's underage or an ex bloke, over the internet, I'd ask before going over. Guy bleeding to death, doctors/you ask the question but might get the answer visually, NHS direct ask you questions over the net/phone because theres nothing else to go on, homeless people, you can't always tell why they are on the streets, but a stack of broken whiskey bottles or trackmarks again would answer your question.

Its also why I ask questions online before donating to a charity, where is my money going to go, some ridiculous sports education fund in the UK for kids or to a starving kid on deaths door in Rwanda, I'd prefer the later. Almost everything you do is based on asking questions.

I echo previous thoughts and wonder why people need to know any more details. The vast majority of respondees in this thread, luckily, haven't ever been homeless but yet feel they should judge and demand information instead of providing information for a man in need.
There's a fair few ridiculous topics in GD but it pleases me that when someone needs help people offer their help.
For the people that have never been homeless, and think that a simple apology will sort everything out then thank yourself lucky. But things happen in life and we aren't all able to live such a life.

I reiterate my previous sentiments, good luck OP.

Asim lives in Asimworld.

Mac10's, Rainbow Willies and Steven Seagal college lecturers all abound in Asimworld, so a 'local' drugdealer who hires the homeless and pays them in BMW M3's and Penthouses..... why not?

Well thats no good.

I dont want a BMW M3, otherwise I'd be moving out into my cardboard box right now.

Ugh... Must not feed the troll. Must not.

It IS possible to become a drug dealer. It IS possible to make enough money from drug dealing to be able to afford a penthouse and an M3.

End of. Just end of.

Love it :D

It usually helps if they provide enough information to get the help, he hasn't so how can he expect miracles !

If he's being kicked out, then I can't imagine it would be very easy for the OP to sit at his computer and go into detail about what had happened. He just needed some quick help from a forum he could quickly check up on whilst packing his stuff.

And he got the response his OP deserved. Sleep rough, hostel. I don't see why he can complain. If he wants more help he needs to provide more information on his situation.

How hard is it to provide generic advice, as I and others have done?

"Apologise and work it out with your mum if it's possible, if not the council have a legal obligation to help you out, and there's the Salvation Army etc too; but the homeless team at the council can advise about all those options if you call in or give them a ring. Good luck."

A few simple lines, no need to look things up, and absolutely no requirement to know the OP's circumstances. Simples?
