Im building myself a new rig soon and have got most of it sorted now thanks to two very helpful people :). One of the things left to do is pick a case, and thought this should go in the case section instead of my post in general.

Im looking for a black case with plenty of room. The Coolermaster Stacker STC-t01 really caught my eye, but sadly there are no black ones to be found :(. The second case that has caught my eye has been the silverstone tj05. Its within my £100 limit i have set for the case, is black and has a nice layout and a right set of fans in it. The only problem is i think the position of the usb, firewire ports on the right hand side of the case is a bit awkard and i seen that the LCD panel can be awkard aswell if you dont look at it from the right angle.

I was hoping some people could give opinions on the Tj05, and maybe suggest a few other cases fitting the description. I am not too keen on the design on the Lain li atm so i dont know if i could go with one of them. All help is well appreciated :)

~cheers

Well seen as you dont like the PC7; how about a Akasa Eclipse.

Great cooling cases, not much better, MUCH better case than the silverstone.

So the akasa is around the same as that Lain li PC7?

Thanks for attracting my attention to the akasa eclipse, i think it suits my needs perfectly. The front is a bit weird, but it looks like an excellent case overall

A black stacker is available, I have one! It's the newer 810 with the dual 12cm exhaust fans. Black sides and top, silver bezel. It cost £127 total, a bit more than the older stacker. [Removed - Do not hint at competitor sites]

Sorry for the bump but the akasa is out of stock on here, and the Black stacker is still nowhere to be found.

Is there anywhere on here i can ask to find out if they expect anymore stock in? Dont want to wait for something and end up it isnt coming back lol :P

Cheers, i just wasnt sure if i would get answers to "when you getting" questions if i pestered em on their sales email :P.

Well atleast the fact that it's sold out shows its a popular case :D

Cheers for the help chaps. <3

Ah yea, i read on your post on a different topic that a different company designed it and then they took their time to make improvements to it. Is there any extra's that i should get apart from the window modded side panel?

that fan control looks pretty sweet. Think ill have to go with those, n1 for recommending em yewen.

Its also quite cool the way you can change the L.E.D colour on the lcd panel. One question thought, do you think it would be easy to change the L.E.Ds of the knobs? I want to have an all red and black theme going for my new case :P

My advice, go for the one you like and not a case some random internet user says :)

OMG! its sat night and i have stayed in for the first time in over a year! (in case anyone cared).

Yes but recommendations and advice stop people doing things that they could later regret.

Cases are personal, but there are some you just have to avoid, like the Vento.

Reviews are a lot worse than recommendations; plus I have yet to have anyone dissapointed with anything I have recommended

The guy has a 5000+ postcount*, most of them in his specialist field of high quality enclosures, and if you took a vote of all the users on these Forums who they'd ask about a case, it'd be Yewen. He's super helpful, impeccably polite, and a stickler for good English and accurate spelling. Respect IS due. Even if cannot grasp that the Eclipse is the epitomy of good taste and that plastic can be as much a mark of high quality as aluminium .

I do care, actually. I'm glad you've chosen to join us in preference to watching some garbage on the TV. Welcome. Since you're here, what would you buy if you didn't like the PC-7 and you couldn't get your hands on an Eclipse 62 (or a Mirage for that matter)?

*Postcount is no indication that the poster knows what he's talking about, just that he has unmonitored internet access at work.

Oh I so have to comment you your post WJA96; can't let that one go down. :p

Firstly, post count is not really worth much; you have 1200 posts odd, yet it means very little to me as you know what your talking about so I value your opinion when I am thinking about something, but Plastic is not as nice as aluminium :p

Harib0 has sub 1000 posts I think, yet she knows a awful lot about the ATCs cases, and quite a bit more than me in some areas, again, postcount is irrelevant.

I will agree with you on one thing though, I do recommend the gear I have used, and liked. Asking on a forum does not ultimately choose what you buy, if you do not like it, you just do not! I am a big beleiver in the value of the PC7 series of cases; they are not for everyone and I see that.

And my spelling can be woefully bad, a few spelling errors do slip through, and my usage of there and their on the forum never is right, its just there due to my asociation with msn; and hence slang.

Sorry to pick your post apart, but mentioning my postcount provoked it, anyone who can give a good argument is worthy of consideration, 1 post or 5000; I know you know this but just your post seemed slightly ogressive towards suarve so I had to step in and explain my stance on your reply.

If I was not anygood at recommending cases for people, I just would not do it. I would say 99/100 times on this forum I have helped choose the best case for the person, and 100/100 have been happy who have spoken to me about it after. Have yet to have anyone speak to me about how I wasted their money.

That is the thing I am most proud of from the forum, when you speak to someone who is happy about the case they got, when they never even considered it. Gives a nice feeling inside as it only takes minutes to reply to a thread, which could save someone from a costly error, or just give food for thought.

Oh my, I hope that made sense. :(

(WJA96 thanks for the reply aswell, in noway is that directed at you totally, its a monologue inspired by your post ;))

Well I for 1 would rather get opinions from users in here than spend £100 on a case which is not what I wanted or needed. At the end of the day peoples opinions are just that.
From what I have read in here if I am ever in need of advice I will be posting the the cases section looking for advice from users like Yewen and Harib0 amongst others.
