hi all i need a little advice i am wanting to upgrade a few things in my pc but not sure what to upgrade or even what is good these days

my pc specs

i7 930 @2.8GHz
Asus sabertooth x58 motherboard
6 GIG XMS3 ddr3 1600MHz triple channel ram
cheap £30 650 watt PSU
CM Scout case
250Gb hard drive
2Tb storage drive
EVGA 550Ti OC graphix card
Cooler Master Seidon 120M Watercooling System

things im thinking of getting

Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel
Akasa Venom 750w Modular '80 Plus' Power Supply
OCZ Vertex 2E Bigfoot 180GB SSD
Akasa Venom Toxic Full Tower Gaming Case - Black

i have a budget of around £300 to spend i know my GPU isnt that good but it will have to do till i can save and get a better one and it
does the job for now im just not sure if i should just upgrade the parts i have put above or keep saving for a new build.

any advice would be great thank you in advance for your replys

I think you should keep saving:

The Extra RAM won't affect you're rig in anyway what-so-ever unless you do heavy video editing..

The SSD is SataII so will be pretty out of date when you come to upgrade, i'd just waiting and get a SATAIII one.

You do really need a new PSU, that one is a good one but a lot more power than what you need. for your rig a 500W-550W would be plenty.

The case is a personal choice i would just save for a new build if i were you..

Hmmm, you have £300 to spend, I would go for a GPU upgrade along with a new more reliable PSU to accompany it.

Something along the lines of HD7950/GTX760 and a quality 550w for single card or 750w if you want to crossfire.

thank you for your post on this matter i have decided to get a new GPU just waiting for
EVGA to release there GTX 760 im just going to get one for now but thinking i may get another down the line
can any one surgest a PSU that will do the job along with the rest of my set up
im still in the £300 budget but could go a little higher if needed

Just the usual Xfx/Seasonic/Corsair/Enermax/ :)
Just a heads up, OCUK just released their mega bundle for some AMD cards which includes 8 games which you can probably sell on for £70-80, a HD7950 is really worth considering!
