Hey guys, i've been looking to upgrade my gpu to a 1060 or higher (or a 1050 ti if it could handle what i need, as i know now isn't the best time to buy anything higher) and was looking for some advice about my other components. I dont care too much about maxing out graphical settings so long as i can get most modern games and hopefully some future-ish ones running at 1080p and stable fps.

Any advice would be much appreciated cheers in advance.

Current build:
gtx 760 gpu
Asus P8Z77-V motherboard
i7-3770k cpu
8gb ram
corsair 600w power supply

The 1050ti is not much of an upgrade from the gtx 760 and the 1060 prices are ridiculous the other option is to go second hand a 980ti will max out 1080p.

Very bad time to buy a gpu unless you can find something second hand.
If you can possibly wait, crypto mining may be about to crash looking at news articles, which would see the cards come back down to a sensible price, and the second hand market flooded with even more sensibly priced cards.

If you insist on buying new right now, you'll just have to accept you'll be paying twice what the cards really worth.

...that's if you can find a second hand card for a half decent price!

Wait it out. Nvidia have a keynote next month, very much expecting the new generation to be announced. Who knows, they may not be good for mining (at first). At the very least it should drive the current prices down a touch
