going to ring up o2 soon and some other places to see at getting 2 new contracts for me and my gf. what i need advice on is how many minutes is good and texts for the money, like can someone post for £30 i should be getting so and so for £20 so and so.

i have had my contrqact with o2 for a year now which gave me 200 mins and 100 texts for £35, but i spend on average £80, sometimes can be £115 so im hoping for a good deal they offer me

i know orange doa magic number but i dont understand it so can someone explain it? is this ideal for me as we only use the phone for calling each other.

also when asking for the phones, im thinking of asking for the most expensive phones aviable and selling them then buying wehat we want, as what i want is the n965 and it aint out yet, and she wants a motorola which im sure isn't that expensive to buy.

thanks

sorry if the thrwead is worded bad, im in a rush

You pay £35 a month for 200 mins and 100 texts!! For £25 a month you can get 125mins and 300 texts and a free D900 for £25 on 12 months OR 200mins and 300 texts for an 18 months.

T-Mobile for £30 a month you could get 400mins and a 1000 texts over 18 months with a free D900 or such. Although its Flext35 so can be varied through to 900mins or 1800 texts or some variation :)

Retention deals are always better though.

OP ask retentions for the Online 500 tarriff with a £15 per month discount.

What's a retention deal?

Nathan - can you give me a link for that O2 12month contract pls?

Its to keep existing customers at the end of current contracts, not offered to potential customers I doubt. :(

you ll prolly get the deal i have for 25 quid. Tell them your tempted to leave without then offering you a good deal ;)

Virgin NTL contract - £10/month for 300 mins and 300 texts :)

Interesting...how'd you manage that one? :)

Saw the D900 for free on a £25 month 300mins, 300 texts @ Virgin. Cheapest/Best deal around on that phone! Plus only a 12 month contract, woo!

12 or 18 month contract, what phone?
There is no contract, just a 30 day period for cancellation. The downside is that the phone they give you is a Nokia 1112 (I actually want this over any other new phone about) and you have to have NTL services already.
