Hey peeps :)

I am going to upgrade from my old saphire 7850 & was going to choose the Radeon R9 280X Sapphire Toxic 3GB OC Edition as the replacement or even the Asus Matrix thats on offer right now, but after some serious thought i have decided just to wait for the Radeon R9 290X when released, but the only problem is i,m not 100% sure if my psu could handle the card or not, i have the corsair GS600 gaming series psu

Question is, will it do the job ?

Thanks.

So would 600w not be enough power to run the card then ?

Assuming you haven't got an overclocked CPU that uses more than 200W - such as some AMD models - you will have plenty of power. And even if you did have an overclocked CPU that used much more than 200W, you will shorten the PSU's life but it will still run fine if not too old.

I have the i5-3570K cpu which has not been overclocked & the psu unit is roughly new had it about 4mth now, but thanks for the advice lads much appreciated for the responses giving so far :)
