It's been proven that caffeine strengthens your short-term memory. I also remember reading that coffee enemas have been used by the ancient Phoenicians (it might've been Carthegonians) as a general cleansing process, and, apparently, some mathematician in Cambridge managed to survive bone marrow cancer by eating a hypervitaminated diet (bushels of citrus fruit) and giving himself 5 (yes, five!
) coffee enemas a day (read this in the Times 5 years ago so it's bona fide, incredible as it may sound).
Even given that the rest of us are (apparently) pouring it down the wrong end, it must still be doing SOME good!
