Need an alarm system

Hi all,

I have a building at the end of my garden I use as an office. I need an alarm system for it and I'm looking for any advice.

It's only a single room building so will need just one sensor which I prefer to be wired rather then having to change batteries etc on a wireless unit. I have a budget of £200. If anyone could recommend any decent brands/models or any tips it would be great as i'm pretty clueless

Could you not wire a sensor and door contacts to your house alarm. And arm that particular sensor at night.

Get a dog and keep him in the office/kennel.

I would just have a look at screw fix or the likes and see what takes ur fancy (is on special offer) for the small specs you are after I cant see there being much difference / point in getting a supper expensive one?

If its for just one room then just get a normal starter pack from local leccy/DIY store?

I wanted to get something with a bit of quality as I want it to last a long-time. I've bought them cheap standalone alarm systems before and they've always been more hassle then they are worth.
