Need an expert C++ programmer.

Sorry for the late reply. I didnt post the brief up in case someone decided to undercut me. I doubt it's a university assignment as the last term has already finished. Any way I got given the job on a freelance site but judging by the simplicity I doubt its as complex as being worth £300 and hour :p.

It's clearly an adaptation of this University assignment, mind you, if they're paying you to do it.. more fool them :p.

Bugger, is that illegal ? Think ill leave this one, dont want to risk getting in trouble and make my elance account look bad.

And to the people who complained above. I don't really see what the big deal is. I normally take up tasks like this and offload it to other poeple to make a profit. The opportunity for me to make money is there so I took it.

what an idiot.

To be fair, subcontracting like this is a pretty common thing to do in business.

Step 1) Sign up to a freelance agency
Step 2) Repost advert on computer enthusiast forum
Step 3) Take a cut of profits

He has not subcontracted, he has stolen a percentage of the profits from somebody who could just as easily got the whole pot themselves were they on the freelance site. Its not like 'he has contacts' and is 'sourcing them work'. He has come on an open internet forum to make himself some money for zero work.

Exactly. The OP is a chancer, and just looking to make money. He doesnt care about the client, or the person doing the work; he just cares about making a quick buck.

I hope you don't find anyone willing to do this for you, and I hope you get a bad name/black listed as a result.

You give freelancers a bad name.

I thought you'd 'won' the contract? Won't the client be a little unhappy that you're backing out of an agreement?

Welcome to capitalism folks.

Pretty much. He's accepting liability for it, he's taking a risk and stands to potentially make a profit from it, that's how any business works. People may as well be complaining about doctors profiting off the sick.

not really.

This chap says it better than I would have:

Pay a man the wage he is due; the founding principle of a society without debt slaves. Doctors no, practitioners of chiropathy and their psuedoscience bull quakery, yes.

But he is breaking forum rules about commercial sales..
