I understand that the Barclays ISA is the best one to go for?

However, time is short and I don't have an account there.

I do have a branch accross the road from me, but will i have enough time to open an account/isa and pay in all before the deadline (which could be tomorrow?)

Alternatively I have the following current accounts. Which would be best to get an ISA from?

HSBC
Nationwide
EGG

Thanks

Barclays is crap (well, not the best :P), it's variable (not fixed) and if you withdraw from it the rate you get automatically falls by 1%. It also means as the BOE base rate falls over the year, your ISA rate will as well. Also you can't transfer your ISA in from elsewhere.

If you want to get your allowance in this tax year, surely anywhere's better than nowhere? Check the rates for the people you've got accounts with already, it should be easier to do it with one of them. Although there should be no problem doing it with anyone else providing you've got the appropriate identification.
