i know there are many of these threads guys,

At the moment im with BT near the exchange in Maidenhead and get 7mbs,
our contract is up this month, and to be honest i think there are better out there,

Who would you suggest going with?

I do a lot of online gaming and download a fair bit each month, beta testing various ms server os's and games. plus the odd bit of this n that :p

So what would you suggest?

Im not very clued up when it comes to isp's as i was hoping to goto virgin cable at the end of the month, but contrary to their website i cannot actually get cable where i live :(

hey up,

cheers

sam says i get isp's like be, bulldog adsl2+ on be, upto 24mb

anyone have any experience of be?

looking to pay no more than £30 a month.

Not personally, but they are highly recommended for service. They have a FUP but is set very high (hundreds of GB's need to be transfered.)

nice one,

they also seem to have no cancelation for their contract, they ask you write with 3 months notice though, so not as bad as say bt lol

They were a joke.

now to persuade the powers that be (ie the missus) :D lol

cheers

nice one lads,

just need the lass to call bt and get us the mac code now, the account is in her name :(

Not doing that again lol. at least if its in my name i can chop n change as an when i like. And when it goes wrong i can go all ALPHA on the call center :D

lol

i am thinking of going with an Entanet reseller for my next isp ie UKFSN, ADSL24, Vivaciti, Falconnet, TitanADSL or Aquiss.

I can recommend ADSL24, was with them before going to Be* :D

I've moved from BT to BE, which is getting activated tomorrow :D Just going by their order process I'm already impressed, ordered it last Monday (bank holiday) with my MAC code and every thing has been sorted out in just over a week, they gave me my activation date within hours of ordering.

how far do you live from your exchange mate?

just spoke to them, and they say i live over 2.5km from the exchange, even though its over the road :(

so i probably wont get anywhere 24mb lol.

Signed up anyways as they have gotta be better than BT have been, as long as i get above 10mb i will be happy.

have to see what happens.

doesnt matter how far you live from it mate.

Its the way they route the cable, god knows!!

It could go all the way up your street before coming back your way lol.
