Need an PS2 rpg for the old guy

Right my grandads birthday is coming up and he needs a new game as hes nearly completed 100% of FF10.
Hes played and completed countless times the final fantasy series and loves them to bits, so i was hoping for something similiar.

He doesnt want something mind boggling as he still finds FF10 sphere grid a bit of a challenge but he really enjoys building characters to max strength and stuff and getting ultimate weapons :)

Also he doesnt like hack and slash he just really wants thoes turn based fighting like the ones in final fantasy.....he got annoyed when i told him about FF12 new fighting system :p

So ive narrowed it down to 2 games of the top of my head:
Dragon quest: the quest of the cursed king
the lord of the rings: the third age
 
Gotta second that.. groovy gaming granddad :D

I dunno about any LOTR games, but from the description it seems he'd love a traditional dungeon crawler.. which is exactly what Dragon Quest is!
 
cheers for all the replys i think ill go with dragon quest.

And yes im lucky to have a grandad who enjoys games. Every night in my room im on my pc playing css and hes next to me on the PS2 playing the final fantasy games :)

Thats quality, i could never imagine my grandad doing that! :cool:
