Need and 'override spring' for a drum brake

Hi all...bit of a random one...A while ago my GF had someone change the rear drums on her car, but as the drum case was wrong we never got round to changing that untill now....

I managed to change one of them over...I went to change the next one, took the casing off and suddenly there is a spring in my hand! She said she thought she heard a grinding noise :rolleyes:

Turns out it is the (I think) 'over ride / over load spring'...The one that attaches itself to the auto adjustment lever...thing.

Now...my question...is there anywhere I can buy these from? Or is it a scrappy job / full accessory kit?

And 2.)...were can I get said accessory kit from :p

Been to severl places today, and not one of them mentioned about buying the accesory kit, or whether or not they actually had them in stock or not.

Any help is appreciated all :)
 
Bleh. Little brake components can be a nightmare to get hold of. I used to struggle to get the little spring/dogbone/cup things that hold the shoes against the backplate. I did notice that Halfords do little packs of brake maintenance parts for a couple of £ and they were full of little cups and springs. Might be worth a look. Otherwise, I think you're going to have to hit the scrappy.

I did look in Halfords (Granted only one) and he ended up sifting through a random box out back for me (:eek:)

Might have to call/email the scrap place around here, normally pretty decent

ooh, do you know of anywhere I could buy a maintenence kit? Tried looking but couldn't find anywhere :(
