Must be "robust" and around £80~90.

Just want to fill it full of puzzle and educational "games"

What's out there that people can recommend?

its the 'just in case' that would worry me... it only takes once with broken glass and toddlers
Like I said no way would I let a 3yr old play with anything with glass in it

My daughter who has just turned four uses our Hanspree Hannspad quite merrily for games and watching cbeebies etc etc.

As for the possibility of broken glass hurting the child...same as anything really, use some common sense, dont let them wander around with it, teach them to respect property and it wont be a problem.

Yup. Screen protectors will stop sliced fingers in the event of a break/crack.

Should really be supervised with it though.

My 2 year old uses an asus transformer (for skype with me lol). It is always supervised but the amount of drops and roughness.... make sure you get a decent bumper/case for it.

Also, you can get something called the "leappad 2" which might be more suitable, and is around the price you are asking.

£120-ish after cashback for the Samsung tab2 7.0 seems the wise bet. Getting the JB update right now.

Way to fragile imho for a kiddie. Although.. that is a cracking deal!! (Also.. I had no idea that you could use the tab 2.0 7 with a sim card (although this is the WAYYY more expensive version :-( ), or that it is able to use glonass satellites :-D)

I've seen a good few three year olds been able to use a tablet quiet well, it may take some time but they do learn they have to be more gentle with it. Often because the screen won't do what they want if they just keep poking it.

He is fine on the iPad, but the wife actually wants to use it herself. Hence why I need something cheap for him to use :)

Just get a cheap one from here.

One tantrum could lead to one dead tablet, hence the samsung being a baaaaad choice, unless you like throwing money away?
