Got my first ATI card today and now my games won't work. Metro and Gothic 4 crash on start. Something to do with PhysX but I can't install it to uninstall it does anyone know what to do? Tried driver sweeper and deleted Nvidia folders.:(

Have you uninstalled the drivers first, then booted into Safemode, ran Driver Sweeper and ticked all the relevant boxes that mention Nvidia? Once you have done this get the latest drivers for your card from the AMD website and try installing again.

So were you able to install the ATI driver ok? In relation to the PhysX problem you mention do you get an error message at any point? Did you run Driver Sweeper in Safemode? Only other thing I can suggest is to try using Revo Uninstaller to remove the PhysX software if it's still on your system and can't be removed through the normal methods.

Sounds like Driver sweeper has removed some required nv physx dll files... these programs can often remove things that they really arn't meant to. There are so many posts in these forums where people have run these tools and are subsequently running into issues.

Some things to check

Windows update - is it up to date?
reinstall the .net framework
reinstall the nv physx driver
reinstall the ATI driver
Check dxdiag and reinstall direct x

If none of this works you could be looking at a reformat.

Yes it says I have a newer version of the verison I'm currently trying to install then it says aborting installation and just hangs.
