Tried updating my bios as my overclock wouldnt save and kept resetting, tried to get bios update but i found gigabyte do no update bios if your running 64-bit xp/vista,anyone know how i can update my BIOS apart from going to gigabyte?

i dwnloaded it from Ga,but when i tried to burn it to cd/dvd.it told me that my operating system does not support the bios,so it failed to burn.

The latest (proper) BIOS release is F10 for the Gigabute GA P35C DS3R.

Download it, and put it onto a floppy/CD/USB flash drive, if on a flash drive make sure Legacy USB storage support is Enabled in your BIOS first, or flash drive will not be picked up, then reboot, press "End" to enter Q Flash, complete the flash, reboot enter BIOS and most importantly as soon as you get into BIOS, Load Optimized Defaults, then Save and Exit, and reboot, then if you want to set up your o/c again enter BIOS and do so....

Using Vista 64 bit will make no difference to being able to update your BIOS.

The manual gives you the info you require to do this.

Dont you know anybody with a bit of experience who could help you? You dont seem to be having a lot of luck judging by your recent posts, if your run of bad luck continues with the bios flash you may well end up without a working motherboard.

what about if i want to use cd ? still press end to enter q flash?

Actually, you can't use a CD with Q Flash, you can use a USB flash drive, floppy, or HDD, the HDD & floppy must be formatted as FAT32/16.

You could update the BIOS via the @BIOS utility, which is done within Windows, although I like to do the update in DOS.

The best thing to do is buy yourself or borrow a flash drive for this purpose...
