Hi guys, I currently have a corsair 650D case and am looking on getting a new one. I need a better case with good air flow to cool down two ASUS matrix GTX 580s. I've been looking at the silverstone ft02, and was wondering if that case can handle two of those cards and can drop temps on load significantly? My motherboard is the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro.

I'm from Canada but I'm willing to spend 200-250 CAD on a new case. The 650D just doesn't cut it..

Thanks!

P.S. I'm not looking to water cool, just air cool. My top 580 loads at 96 C and my bottom only loads at 60-65.

I would look at something with good flow with side intakes for the GPU's, personally getting a Corsair 500r, comes with a 200mm fan on the side for cooling GPU's...

I've got an ft-02 and does a very good job of cooling my GPU's.

With the 90 degree rotated motherboard it's much easier for the air to escape upwards. Also looks like there is a decent gap between GPUs on that board so that will help a lot too in a vertical config.

Hmm that was what I was thinking too, but the cards are three slot solutions so the gap is actually pretty tiny. Do you think the ft02 can handle pushing out the hot air as well as cooling these beasts?

the FT02 is one of the best air cooling cases on the market so it might be your best bet. I have read a few times that using fans on the side panel is good for cooling the gfx cards but raises the temps in other areas because they spoil the flow of air through the case, not sure if this is true though.

Hmmm yeah. I might get the ft02, but I haven't found anyone who has two of the ASUS matrix 580s using this case.. I just need to know if it fits before taking the plunge and buying it.
