So does anyone know any isp severs for dial up connections.

Something that is cheap

Thanks

What about a pay as you go mobile dongle?

Much faster and cost affective I would have thought.

3 do a pay monthly one for £7.87 a month also.

just done a quick search on google and there are quite a few but most offer 0844 or 0845 numbers so I would look at the price of calls to that number as it could be expensive and work out more expensive than a dongle in the long run

PAYG dongle would be the best I think though it's not as flexible as it used to be. It will be faster than dial up and probably just as cheap however.

Voda did one that was £3 a month and then £2 per 240MB. That was on a 30 day rolling contract I believe.

Just connect his phone direct to the pc? either use its credit, or use a month booster.

T-mobile booster is £5 for a month, £20 for 6 months.

now your going to laugh at this but he's only just bought a mobile i've no idea what make it is or anything like that. i don't even know if it has the internet.

He really is a little slow with technology.

As others have said you may as well get a 3G dongle or tether a phone.

If he insists on dial up then use one of them 08XX numbers if he's only going to use it for brief periods. No subscription and costs like 4p a minute during daytime.

Just get a super cheap broadband connection, something less than 10 a month.

However once they start getting used to the connection their usage is going to increase!

This. My step-grandad started off on 56k and knew NOTHING about the internet. I set him up with an e-mail address, then an amazon account, then an ebay account etc, now he's got virgin 20mb boradband and he's on it loads!

you can get Sky broadband for £5 a month with £11 line rental which I'm sure he already pays.
