Rite'o girl i like is into emo music I've been told.....Now i don't have a clue about emo rubbish i tried panic at the disco but was told thats too grungey :confused:

Popular 'Emo' bands would probably be things like:

My Chemical Romance
Dashboard Confessional
Brand New
Fall out boy
etc.

if shes into the whole emo thing then she MUST have a myspace page, go there and fsh around, it'll probably be full of music she likes.

and i didnt think Brand New were that popular ?

This guy speaks the truth. If you're lucky she'll be 'friends' with all her favourite bands and then you can go listen. Job's a good'un!

If you're still stuck, there's probably a gazillion threads in GD where people are trying to 'out music-knowledge' each other by quoting a million different bands at some poor soul whos just asked why it's called emo or why that guy is wearing girls jeans:p

I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt and assumed he just hadnt heard the 'music' before and wanted to see what it was all about.

If he should suddenly morph into a depressed, lonely-looking, girls-jeans-wearing, long-fringe-sporting wierdo then he should be promptly banned from these here forums accompanied only by the ridicule he deserves ;)

We are a Metal band from bayonne NJ, we have two guitarists and a drummer), we like to have fun and and eat emo kids, we know this won't help us get good exposure but eh what can we don't like emo but we do love the ocasional Metal, Hardcore, Metalcore, Death metal, Porno, and punk, did i mention we smoke crack too

Just sacrifice a squirrel and attach it to your genitalia, run up to her cradling it whilst crying. That should be dark enough for it.
 
hell no i am the hater of emos! she isnt emo she just likes that horse **** music so i thought hey she always goes through my iPod may as well put some *common interests* in there :p

EMOS SUCK! just gone to check if she has a emo-space page and checking out some of those songs thanks guys :)
 
Real emos simply listen to the rain falling on their window and cry as they think off all the animals being caught in the rain and getting wet and cold.
 
Aren't Thursday and Autumn For Ashes Emo.

I know a few lasses who like them.

Caught a bit of Thursday at the Leeds Festival and the only thing that impressed me was that the guitarist was using a Vox AC30 which is pretty unorthadox for Heavy Distortion. (also it's the same amp as mine!)

lol bullet are not emo, neither are fall out boy or really panic!

depends really if shes hardcore emo/'metalcore' (as much as I lothe to recognise it as genre) if so she would be listening to such crap as aiden

or more likely shes 'scene' so funeral for a friend, dashboard prophets, my chemical romance etc are more her bag

either way just don't do it to impress a girl, if you wanna listen to heavy rock do it properly with 'tallica, maiden, pantera, machine head and such like
