Need Excel / Database Help

My dad does HAM Radio, and records who he speaks to and from where in the world, so far he has about 2,000+ records in Excel, and he wants to be able to put a call sign in, for example, AB123 and it will list when he spoke to that person, is there a way I can make it easy for him to use? He isn't very good with excel lol...
