Need expert advice on building a rig better than the Alienware area 51 threadripper edition.

The best cooling will be a custom water loop, as mentioned above.

You cannot 'link' to it, as it made up of many parts dependant on your hardware choices.

Rough price would be £500 minimum for a good cpu and gpu loop[/QU

You saw the rig data im trying to build right? I need names of parts to put together for the best. Really need data to put in my notepad.

Save your money and get a console. No offence but water cooling isn't for you. Unless you are getting it pre built

A console? you're joking right? Why isn't water cooling for me? You trying to say putting a water-loop cooler together is harder than putting the rig together?

That I can't learn how to do it? What are you trying to say mate!? How dare you...how dare you.

lol

That is exactly what I am saying. Sure you can learn but it sounds like you have never built a rig before let alone built a custom loop.
A monkey can build a rig, water cooling isn't as easy as you'd think.

I've never built a rig before its why i'm on this site gathering information but It shouldn't be 0 to 60 difficulty to build a custom loop considering all the information that can be found on the net. I just need a little time tis all. And the name of parts I'm not completely getting from people here.

RIG DATA UPDATE

Motherboards
Rog Strix Z370 series (Waiting to see what the new Mobo better than this can do.)

GPU

(minimum will be a 1080 ti) (Placeholder until specs for higher seires is out.)
Hard drive

512GB M.2 PCIe SSD + another SSD
Monitor

(ive done little to no research here)

Memory

32GB Quad Channel DDR4 at 2666MHz
32GB Dual Channel HyperX™ DDR4 XMP at 2933MHz

Cooler
(Best custom water-loop cooler)

Power supply
(C
entauri 1500W High Voltage Chassis R6 or 850W) < Im hearing some controversy with watts)

Keyboard

(need more reserch time)

Mouse
(Need more research time)

Desktop case

(Prioritizing for best performance for the parts. No research done yet.)

Processor

Intel Core i7-8700K

Still lots of holes in rig part data and currently still researching.

If you want the best cooling then a full custom loop will probably set you back in the region of £400-£500

AIO coolers imo are not proper watercooling solutions & people seem to constantly think as they have an a AIO fitted its the same as a full custom setup.

AIOs serve a purpose but they will never match a full loop in terms of performance.

Can I get it pre made and sent to me for that price?

Eisbaer LT 360 if you can fit it- no point going for 240 version as cant handle fully loaded coffeelake , cheap as well for what you get £95

https://www.eteknix.com/alphacool-eisbaer-lt-360-cpu-liquid-cooler-review/4/

as for air

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £83.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

allows all 4 ram slots to be used with tall ram - and can handle 220w of heat ! will also cool hot VRMs

as for ram... Team group! either 8 Packs own for beastly overclock- mine handles 4000hz just fine or RGB glow to match the board

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £468.68 (includes shipping: £8.70)

if your looking for best boards

Aorus 7= Best audio
ROG Hero
Asrock Taichi
I wanted to go for 32GB DDR4 Quad Channel 2666 MHz just taking 2 slots for room for the future. Pros and Cons? And which of those 3 boards is the best for gaming? Like if you wanted the best of the best performance which one would it be?

quad channel is only on x299/x399 systems and make no impact on games- rendering is a different story

i dont think any game has need for 32gb , not for a while, 16gb has only just started to make the list on recent AAA titles for best performance

Can you go into more detail about those x299/x399 systems you're talking about? I do photoshop stuff, would a 32GB but useful there?

You can buy a kit like this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-w...watercooling-kit-3831109863268-wc-896-ek.html, but for the most part a custom cooling loop really is custom and built around the rest of the system so if you're not confident about it you'd be better off buying a full system

Something like this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/infi...700k-5.1ghz-ddr4-sli-gaming-pc-fs-467-oe.html
I see. Thought you can buy it and have someone pre-make it for you to install. Ok errm, whats the next best thing to that?

Well its both hobbie and career choice which requires me to study on it. I also wanna have lots of stuff open without having to close them, hate having to do that *&(%.

Not to mention my gaming sessions and the time I spend on my Laptop are insanely long, stretching past a day.

Which is the better motherboard? And is there a better card than these two coming round the corner in 2 weeks I think i saw in another thread. I also wouid like very good wifi if that helps.

Heres a look at a vs page with a summary, easy to view, personally I don't understand a lot of the specs but hoping we could talk more about that.

samsung or crucial
samsung 960 evo or sm961 nvme m.2 if you have the money and m.2 slot
samsung 850 evo or crucial mx500 sata3 on a budget

why not get 1x 1tb ssd instead?
Good Q, taking in a lot of data in a short amount of time makes me do these kinds of mistakes. I need to compare prices.

Are they easily compatible with the latest best motherboards? Or do I need something new? Considering some saying PCI express 3.0
