Need for speed shift performance.

My performance in this game isn't as expected.

Running 1920x1080 with everything else maxed, I am getting about 32-40 FPS on a populated track.

Id expect more from crossfire 5870's, 4GB and a 965 BE.

Am I doing something wrong here or is this game really THAT demanding.

You should be much higher than that. I had it running at 1680x1050 / 4xssAA at 40-60fps with crossfired 5770's, with all settings on max.

You sure crossfire is enabled ?

Only other thing I can think of is update Physx, as Shift uses it for collisions, etc... afaik.

i et more than that on a single GTX460 with 32AA @ 1920x1080

Make sure the game is fully updated as there was major performance increase for ATI cards in a patch, the game likes a quad CPU at a decent speed.

Patched to latest version?

I recall there was some major problems with ATI cards when the game first came out.

I'm playing it on a 5870, v-synced and get a constant 60fps at 1920x1080, 8xaa

Patch done the trick, 80/90 FPS now.

I feel so dumb for not updating it first !
