It's called The Run. An illicit, high-stakes race across the country. The only way to get your life back is to be the first from San Francisco to New York. No speed limits. No rules. No allies. All you have are your driving skills and sheer determination as you battle hundreds of the world's most notorious drivers on the country's most dangerous roads.

hopefully its not criterion making it... dont want another rubbish game where you slide around corners at full speed.....

If EA and it's developers put the same amount of effort into getting their games to actually work as they do in their trailers, then they might have a few more happy customers.

my only hope is a return to the most wanted era for the game

+1,000!

There has not been a decent NFS game since Most Wanted imho they are trying to copy Gran Turismo it seems with the later games and it is not what HFS is about. NFS is you, the cops and LOTS of speed!

Stoner81.

shift2 is not a "need for speed" game which is why its called "shift2 : unleashed" and not need for speed shift 2 : unleashed.

the shift series is going towards a more realistic racing series.

the NFS series will continue beeing a fun arcadey experience

Would be nice to see a return to some 'cross country' racing as seen in Porsche/HP2.
Not too sure about the trailer through as it is all their flashy prerendered stuff, rather than showing us what the actual game will be like.

Also not overly happy about the "no allies" part, would have been nice to get some help from both a story perspective or maybe some team races as seen in Pro Street(?).

It is though

Says at the bottom

but its not :p its an entirely different series heading towards realism/sim
NFS is arcade.

they probably left nfs at the bottom of the cover for marketing purposes i expect shift3 will have no refference on the cover at all
