When my niece and nephew visit they invariable want to play on the PC.
They've been taking turns at a bit of MineCraft but ideally I'd like something they can play together at the same time.
I have 2 xbox360 controllers so something that uses them would be ideal.

Any ideas?

Rayman Legends and Castle Crashers are cheap these days. Instant classic for all ages.

Maybe they might enjoy a LEGO game as well? There's loads to choose from.

For racing there's Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

A vote for Lego. Probably the Star wars ones, should be cheap and don't need powerful computers, plus we have the new Star Wars movie, which is utter crap but kids seem to like it.

Lego marvel super heroes, split screen and works well with controllers, many of the Lego games do but that's my five year old daughters favorite as there is a whole city to explore and dozens of characters to pick from.

My son is just coming up to 4 and loves playing the Lego Star Wars saga. You can co-op on that, he uses wireless Xbox controller, I go on mouse and keyboard. There is quite a lot of platform jumping but he gets on surprisingly well with it. Mind you he does get the rage with it sometimes too

honestly try the lego marvel super heroes one, much less messing about but more freedom, such as driving around in little cars etc. My daughter loves it. Also the split screen works very well, joins up into one screen when you are near each other but splits when one of you leaves the area.

My girls (5 and 8) love Sonic & Sega All-Stars racing.
The Lego games as well, they work best if you've already unlocked the levels so they can go where they like.

Thanks all... I already have Lego Marvel and Castle Crashers on Steam, so I'll try them with those next time they visit.

And Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed looks like something they'd enjoy, too.

Thanks for the suggestions :)
