I need some advice on a girl I met today. We had two electricians come in to do some work and one of them was a nice young woman. They should be in tomorrow but I'm not sure if the girl will be (hopefully).

Anyway I need advice on how to approach her and what I should say/do.

By the way, she really is a she this time. At least I hope she is..... :o

Matthew's girl advice threads are back - awesome :D :D

First, check if she has an adam's apple :p

Then ask her if her name's charlie ;)

then ask her what time she finishes and whether she'd like to get a drink once off work :)

Its very simple, walk up to her, head held high, straight posture, no hands in pockets.
In a relaxed but loudish voice,(shows confidence, dont do this quietly) say - hi, my names matt, hows the work going.
She will answer, maybe start up a conversation (opened ended questions etc etc)
Then say hey, you know ive really got to get back to work unfrotunately, but id really like to get to know you better. If i can take your number id like to take you out for a drink. Hows saturday. ( dont say could i or would you like to, make it a polite demand)

Done.

Say you felt a spark between you & a strong connection. Then ask her to bite your wire.

:D

Say "Hi, how's it going?"
Introduce yourself, and be friendly. Be lighthearted, drop a few jokes. Bust her balls (figuratively speaking) now and then. Create a time-bridge and get a meeting setup there and then rather than getting her contact details and having a meeting up in the air... ask her if she'd like to go for a coffee with you on x day... You can say "I'm busy tomorrow, but would you like to come for a coffee on Saturday?". :)

"I have a plug, and you have a socket."

You could impress her and get real technical and say
" I have an RCB, and you have a consumer unit" :D

Seriously, just be yourself and chat normally then ask her out for a drink sometime, there are no real tricks to this sort of stuff.

"Hey, thank you for doing this in such a short notice, at least you can do is let me take you out for dinner/coffee/drink"

lol you dated a tranny or something?

I always find after saying hi, how are you, and a few other random things you can tell if its worth it or not, if the convo dies by then she more than likely doesnt like you. If it does feel crap, say do you know what 1,000 volts of electricity feels like and when she says no say get back to work then, then you walk away the hard man! lol

Try this:

"You know, I'm kind of a big deal. People know me... I have, many leather bound books, and my appartment smells of rich mahogony..."

Pics? :p

na just talk to her ask her how the work is getting on... how she got into it etc and how u dont often see pretty elecricians ;)

She'd probably slap you around the head and inform you that the correct term is either RCCB or RCD :p and ask if you are sure you didn't mean you had a MCB becuase they often get confussed... :p
