Good afternoon, yesterday my hdd decided to go on me so I formatted it today and now it works fine. However this morning I boot my PC and I have no Internet connection although it was fine before and after I formatted it.

All of my drivers are on my SSD that didn't die but I thought you know what I'll just do a reinstall of the LAN adapter.

So I reinstall it make sure it's up to date but still nothing is working. I've tried almost every suggestion from Google and I'm getting no where it seems.

When I troubleshoot it says the following " the default gateway is not available" fixed (Green tick)

But it still won't allow me to connect to the Internet. So when I open network status it says "you're connected to the Internet" but it still does not work.

Then about 10 seconds it's apparently fixed it says"No Internet acces" wants me to troubleshoot again. But the WiFi on my phone works and the other pc that is wired like mine in the house works just fine.

So far I've tried to uninstall and reinstall.
Device manager right click network adapter Intel r ethernet connection update driver automatically. It says it's up to date.

Also right click the driver and un tick allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated thank you!

Open up a command prompt.

Do an ipconfig and post the results.

Can you ping the gateway?
Can you ping 8.8.8.8?
Can you resolve a hostname?

I tried to ping the gateway and it comes up with request timed out. 4 times then it says "reply from destination host unreachable.
Packets sent 4 received 1 lost= 3 (75% loss)

Tried to also ping 8.8.8.8 exact same.

Update: Just tried to ping again with 100% loss and every time I try to troubleshoot I keep getting the same error "Reset ethernet" it does it then problems found The default gateway is not available fixed.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

What IP is your gateway?

Open cmd and do ipconfig /all and post the entire result.
Okay it says the following
