Im having trouble with a PNY Nvidia GeForce 9800GT 512mb Graphics Card.
Basically when i put the graphics card in the PCI-E slot on my motherboard all i get is a blank screen (Monitor light is yellow and not green). Although when i clear the CMOS the Graphics Card works, but it then prompts me to the BIOS on which i Set the settings to Optimal, then i save and exit and the pc restarts.
I then bump into the blank screen again (Monitor on standby).
By this time im 100% my graphics card is not defective (as it still loads when CMOS is reset)
I've checked that the BIOS Primary Graphics is set to PCI-E and not Internal.
My PC Specs:
Mobo: MSI GF615M-P33
Processor: AMD Athlon II x2 250 Dual Core @ 3.0GHz
Memory: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
PSU: Standard 450w
Now my last PC i used the 9800GT used the same 450w PSU although my old PC didn't need as much power since it only had 2GB DDR2 800MHz ram with an old Processor and Motherboard.
Which leads me to think that the problem lies with the Power Supply Unit, i have ordered a new 650w PSU in hope this sorts the problem.
I just need your help on any other things it could be? And if the psu is in fact the problem.
Thanks
