Need help building PC

You need triple channel memory for that board, something like this would be more than adequate. Pointless spending silly money on memory unless you're thinking of extreme overclocking.

I'd also recommend this cooler over the V8.

Not a great fan of Thermaltake cases tbh, they have a reputation for not being the best of quality, and the one I had was certainly a little flimsy to say the least.

As for the PSU, this one will be easier to work with as it's modular, and will still be more than enough power, even with another 5850 installed.

ah, oh then you said with that cooler I'll need a fan, I think I'll have 4 fans in the case... so will I need andother one for that cooler?
 
As others have said, drop the dual channel RAM, add in some triple channel DDR3, doesnt need to be the expensive stuff.
Drop the CM V8 and add in either a Prolimatech Megahelems, Alpenfohn Nordwand or Thermaltake Ultra extreme 120. The Megahalems and the 120 both need 120mm fans adding to them. It is possible if you have really good case airflow to mount the heatsinks without fans but on one of the i7s its really not a great idea.
Samsung F2 is slightly slower than an F1 < F3 or a Western Digital Caviar Black.
As for the case, if you are set on that case and really like its looks then I wouldnt worry about it too much. Thermaltake dont have the best track record but they should work just fine.
 
i7 + X58 = 1366 socket, triple channel DDR3 RAM
i7 + P55 = 1156 socket, dual channel low voltage DDR3 RAM
i5 + P55 = 1156 socket, dual channel low voltage DDR3 RAM

Just make sure you get a cooler compatible with the socket. The 1156 choices are still quite limited I think - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/search_results.php?sortby=priceAsc&search=1156

Unless you are planning on overclocking it there isnt really a need for the aftermarket cooler. Can just stick with the Retail CPU package and you will get a reference heatsink.

Thank you and lastly I've put together some parts for Quad core option as well, so I'd have something to choose from and need someone's oppinion =)

 
no need to be sorry... I didn't know that in any case...

after thinking about it and working out my budget I came to this:

-Intel i7 920 2.66Ghz (1366)-OEM
-Asus P6TD Deluxe
-Kingston 3x1Gb DDR3
-GTX 275
-Samsung 1Tb
-Pioneer DVR-S18L
-ThermalTahe 750W
-ThermalTake Big Typhoon
-Antec 300

all of that summs up to 896 pounds which I can afford...
 
Looks good. But you should try and bump it upto 3x2GB DDR3 RAM. it would be noticeable improvement when using a 64bit OS.
That CPU cooler is a downwards facing one, so it blows air down onto the motherboard instead of across, working with the general airflow of the case. should make a big difference as you arent overclocking but the tower coolers do perform better.
Unless you particularly like the Antec 300 then I would advise avoiding it, used it several times and it isnt great - generally quite cramped, no cable management, airflow is a mess and its very leaky and so noisy as a result.

This leaves you with a considerable amount of spare cash that you could put into upgradeing the Graphics card :

Sadly at the moment I won't be able to aford 6Gb of ram, but with this motherboard and CPU I'll be able to upgrade later should I wish :D. I'd say it'll be a powerful enough pc to work in 3D software and render stuff out etc. I'll diffinately be better for gaming than my current laptop. :) So thanx guys for all your avices... I hope I've learned something out of this =)

edit: If not antec can you advice another one bun in the same price range?
