need help finding drivers

hi all hope someone can help, ok i have been asked by a friend to format his pc and put windows 7 on for him, installation went well apart from the sound and ethernet drivers were not installed, i need to find out what make/model the sound and ethernet are so i can get the drivers, i cannot connect to the internet due to no ethernet driver, so i cant run driver robot to get the drivers for me, how do i find out the exact make and model, any help would be appreciated.

it will identify the hardware.

tbh, I'd be worried if W7 cannot find drivers for them.. if it's onboard sound, it should just find it.. ac97 or realtek hd

cheers m8 will give that a try, ive found hte sound driver, but no ethernet.

also, if you can't find a 7 driver (unlikely..) then a vista driver will work.

must be 32 or 64 bit (ie, the right one)

Or, open up the case and look at the name and model number of the motherboard. Go to manufacturers website, find the mobo / drivers page and download the drivers from there!
