Hey,

Not for me, but for my dad. His alloys have de-formed (saab say due to poor uk road conditions and are not willing to replace them) So he is looking to replace them with OEM or as close as ha can get to the original (he's not one for changing things :( )

I have looked about but cant seem to find anything. Its a Saab 93 2003 - 16" x 6.5" and here is what we are trying to match:

Any help would be great!

Cheers

I cant help, but that sounds like a hell of a lame excuse form Saab. I would have thought that one part of making alloy wheels would be planning ahead and predicting that perhaps, they might see some poor road conditions a lot of the time.

What are these "poor uk road conditions", sure the weather can be bad but in the grand scheme of things its not that bad.

Something to do with using a softer alloy and that uk roads have too many pot-holes that damages this softer alloy. Ether they are well aware of this problem and have told all dealers to refuse and deny it, or its a genuine stance, though i dont know how it can be legal to sell a car in the UK that isnt suitable for the UK.

That or you could try not driving into holes.

If thats true I'd certainly think about taking it further. If they have knowingly sold a car with unsuitable wheels then refuse to replace them when they are damamaged as a result it seems a bit off for them not to replace them.

Arrrrghhh, what is it with Saab these days? They seem to continually strive to lower standards year on year. I remember back in the 80's Saabs were seen as a quality brand, the 90 Turbos were really popular, as a kid my father had loads, things seemed to go wrong when they brought out the 9000 :(

My work mate has a 9.3 Estate, dreadful car, nothing positive to say about it at all. You want to see the interior, the finish on the plastic started to rub off after 15k miles, its now got 90k on and looks like its had farmyard animals living in it.

Ye they really arent as good as they try to make out.

Anyway, for all you daytime people, any ideas/websites/etc?

If cant get a decent price for oem looking ones then maybe if you could find some that look good and i can see what he thinks?

cheers
